Marca Bristo and Access Living Recognized in the Senate for 30 Years of Advocacy

On July 13, 2010, U.S. Senator Richard J. Durbin of Illinois recognized Marca Bristo, President of Access Living and USICD Board President for years of work as a disability rights activist and for the work of Access Living. Senator Durbin praised Marca Bristo for working "tirelessly to break down cultural barriers and integrate people with disabilities into community life." and stated that "Access Living's work fosters dignity, pride, and self-esteem in people with disabilities."
