CRPD Ratification Advocacy

On July 30, 2009, the United States signed the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD).  USICD is a leading voice in advocating for United States ratification of this international treaty and urges the Senate to approach ratification in the same bi-partisan spirit that led to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

USICD continues its convening of national dialogues to bring disability advocates together for sharing ideas and commitment to U.S. ratification of the CRPD through conferences and teleconferences.
