USICD is pleased to partner with Atlas Corps, an organization that seeks to find new ways to address global issues such as poverty, health, gender equity and the environment through international collaboration and exchange. Atlas Corps Fellow Sherzodbek Sharipov will spend a year working with USICD at its headquarters in Washington DC as a Research and Programs Fellow.
Atlas Corps’ mission is to address critical social issues, by developing leaders, strengthening organizations and promoting innovation through an overseas fellowship of skilled professionals.
Atlas Corps' overseas fellowship program is for rising nonprofit leaders interested in serving 12 months in Washington, DC; New York City; or Bogota, Colombia. The average Fellow is 28 years old with at least a bachelor's degree (65% have advanced education), 3 to 10 years of experience, and fluent in English. Host organizations focus on domestic and international issues and include: Ashoka., CentroNia, USICD, and U.S. Peace Corps. Since starting in 2006, Atlas Corps has supported 53 Fellows from 18 unique countries.
